With videos, you get to see your favorite breed of puppies in action, lively and adorable.

YouTube.com has a number of videos that feature Vizsla puppies as young as a few days old. The video featured above shows a litter of Vizslas at nine and a half weeks old.

The litter shown in the video is an especially large one, with the mother giving birth to ten puppies. The mother, Csilla, had five boys and five girls.

Notice how happy and energetic the puppies are in the video--this is very typical for the Vizsla breed. If you like the video, you can give it a good rating and/or leave comments.

Find for Sale Vizsla Puppies

Finding for sale Vizsla puppies is easier than ever with the Internet. In this post, we'll suggest several sites on which you can find Vizsla puppies available in your area.

The first site can be found at nextdaypets.com/directory/dogs/sale. When you land on the page, select the Vizsla breed from the drop-down menu. You will see Vizsla puppies for sale all over the country.

Typically, Vizsla puppies range in price from $700-$1,000. The average age is about six weeks, but that varies. With most ads, you can contact the seller directly through the site and read full profiles of the puppies.

Remember there are also a lot of Vizsla mix puppies that desperately need homes. If you don't mind a mix, you should also search Petfinder.com. Many Vizsla rescues have young dogs that need good homes.

Vizsla Rescue Groups Find Homes for Displaced Dogs

Vizsla rescue groups are volunteer organizations that help foster and place animals who have no homes. In many cases, rescue organizations are simply groups of volunteers that foster Vizsla dogs in their homes.

With breeds like Vizslas, it's common for owners to rush into getting a puppy without properly researching the breed. The Vizsla likes to run and play and needs a large yard with a fence for adequate exercise.

Owners who rush into the Vizsla breed often realize too late that the dog is far too active or large for their needs. This is where the rescue groups come in. They take unwanted dogs from shelters or from owners and try to find them forever homes.

Rescue groups field calls from those interested in adopting and screen them for their suitability. Adopting from a rescue group will help give a displaced purebred dog a loving home.

Attack on Vizsla Dogs Creates Debate on Breed Bans

The owners of Vizsla dogs everywhere were saddened to learn of the vicious attack by two large dogs on a six-month-old Vizsla puppy in Greenwich, Connecticut. The Vizsla, a female named Coco, is now on life support after the nearly fatal attack.

Coco's owner, Elizabeth Hutchins, was walking her on a golf course when a St. Bernard and a pit bull jumped a fence and began severely attacking the young dog while she lay there in fear. Hutchins tried to intervene, but the St. Bernard bit her hand when she did.

"The St. Bernard had Coco by the neck and the pit bull was going for her chest," said Mrs. Hutchins. "I realized she was dying. I was screaming at the top of my lungs but no one was around so I called 911."

The heartbreaking attack has city residents calling for a ban on certain breeds. Pit bulls are already banned in major cities like Denver, that cite stats indicating the breed is responsible for a high number of mortal attacks on humans.

Making Sure You're Ready for a Vizsla Dog

If you're thinking about getting a Vizsla dog, you need to consider the decision carefully. Remember that adopting or buying a Vizsla is a 10-15 year commitment that should not be taken lightly.

Vizslas are highly active and intelligent dogs that require a large amount of physical exercise and intellectual stimulation. You should be prepared to spend most of your free time with your Vizsla.

Also remember that training is crucial with new dogs, particularly Vizslas. Make sure you are ready to devote the time, effort, and money required to put your Vizsla in training and obedience classes.

Finally, ask yourself if you have the space for a Vizsla. These dogs need room to run, so a house with a large, fenced backyard is ideal for a Vizsla.

Signs of Qualified Vizsla Breeders

Vizslas are expensive animals, so it's important that you not trust just any breeder if you plan on buying one. Read on to learn how to identify qualified Vizsla breeders.

First, good breeders will have both of the parents available on-site. Looking at the health, condition, temperament, and appearance of the parents will give you an idea of what your potential dog will look like.

Second, quality breeders will always volunteer references that can vouch for them. Ask for a list of at least three references of current Vizsla owners and ask about the breeder's integrity and the quality of his/her dogs.

Finally, your breeder should offer you a written health guarantee. In other words, the document should specify in writing that the breeder promises the dog is in good health and will either take back the dog and/or refund your money should certain health problems arise.

About the Vizsla Club of Michigan

Started in 1974, the Vizsla Club of Michigan is dedicated to advancing and improving the Vizsla breed in the Michigan area. The club has meetings six times per year to discuss various events and proposals.

Throughout the year, Michigan's Vizsla Club holds AKC-sanctioned workshops and competition events. These activities include field trials to help owners improve the working skills of their Vizslas.

In many cases, these events are open to all owners of AKC-registered Vizslas, not just club members. However, only club members may receive the newsletter and exercise their vote on issues and events.

Michigan's Vizsla Club fashions itself after the Vizsla Club of America and supports its goals. If you are interested in becoming a member, you can attend a club event or download the application online at MichiganVizsla.org and mail it in.

Why You Should Consider Vizsla Rescue Dogs

Vizsla rescue dogs can make great companions--even better than those purchased from breeders. Read on to learn why you should consider a Vizsla rescue before you visit a puppy mill or a pet store.

First and foremost, you are doing the breed a favor when you adopt a rescue Vizsla. Pet stores and breeders only contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, whereas adopting from a rescue society helps provide a home to an unwanted animal.

Secondly, rescue dogs are usually already altered and trained. Don't be surprised if the rescue Vizsla you find has already been spayed or neutered, had all of its shots, and is already housebroken.

Finally, rescue dogs are often much more affordable than buying a dog from a pet store or breeder. The adoption fee of a rescue dog helps cover the pet's medical expenses, food, and housing.

Traits of the Vizsla Lab Mix

Vizsla dogs and Labs are fairly comparable in size and temperament, so it's not uncommon to find a Vizsla Lab mix. Vizsla Labs are beautiful dogs with very mild and docile temperaments.

Some experts even consider Vizsla/Lab mixes "designer" dogs because they come from two very well-respected breeds. In large cities, certain breeders even specialize in producing these kinds of dogs.

Because of their size, Vizla-Lab mixes need plenty of outdoor exercise. Owners should aim for at least 30 minutes per day of brisk activity.

These kinds of dogs also do best with large, fenced yards, as they have a tendency to run. Since both breeds are ideal for hunting and game retrieval, a Viz-Lab mix also makes a great hunting companion.

Finding Vizsla Breeders Arizona

Using an online directory is usually the easiest way to find Vizsla breeders Arizona. You can quickly find quality breeders in your city or region in Arizona.

For example, on the site Doggies.com/Vizsla/Arizona, you can find a list of breeders in your area. You can also find Vizsla puppies for sale on the site.

You also have the option of visiting Arizona-specific sites for additional information. For instance, HarmonyVizslas.com is a training, breeding, and competing site of an Arizona-based Vizsla organization.

If you are looking for a breeder, make sure that he/she offers full paperwork with each dog. In order to compete, Vizslas must be purebred and have the requisite documentation to prove it.

Common Vizsla Health Problems

Every breed has health problems that are more common than others. Vizsla dogs are no exception, although they tend to be generally healthy animals.

The most common Vizsla health problems include seizure and epilepsy disorders. These disorders are relatively rare among dogs as a whole but are fairly prevalent in the Vizsla breed.

Usually, seizure disorders can be managed with medication and regular vet check-ups. Hip dysplasia is another common problem with Vizslas. Dysplasia typically manifests in limping, lethargy, and pain.

Dysplasia may be treatable with surgery and pain management, but the disease sometimes requires euthanasia. Skin and eye disorders are also not uncommon with the Vizsla breed.

Traits and Temperament of Vizsla Boxer Mix Dogs

A Vizsla Boxer mix is usually an amiable dog, having characteristics of both breeds. Without question a Boxer/Viz mix will be an energetic dog that will need plenty of exercise.

Some Viz/Boxer mixes don't do well around other animals because of their strong hunting and chasing instincts. For this reason, this kind of dog is ideal for a one-dog family and those who do not have cats.

Both Boxes and Vizslas are highly loyal animals, and you are likely to find a dedicated and loving companion in your Boxer/Viz mix. Although Vizslas are fairly mellow dogs, Boxers are natural entertainers, and this energy may come through in your mixed dog.

Your mix will have similar nutritional and exercise needs of purebred dogs. Because of the two breeds' medical histories, it's important to watch for hip dysplasia.

Preparing for the Temperament of Vizsla Puppies

Before you consider buying Vizsla puppies, you should thoroughly research the breed in order to understand the temperament of these athletic, purebred dogs. Remember that not all puppies will conform to the norm for the breed; there is great variation from dog to dog.

In general, the Vizsla is a medium-sized, athletic dog who is typically bred for show, obedience, and field purposes. Vizslas are loaded with energy and require regular, vigorous exercise in order to stay happy and healthy.

Training is a must with this kind of puppy, but the good news is that Vizslas respond quite well to training. They are also willing obedience students.

Most owners find that their Vizslas are sensitive, gentle dogs that are friendly with most humans and other animals. Some have referred to the breed as a "Velcro dog" because of the Vizsla's tendency to attach itself to owners, typically on their laps.

Hungarian Vizsla are no Different from Any Other Vizsla

Vizslas are very well known dogs among the hunter community. These dogs can be trained relatively easily and they are obsessively loyal to their owners. There is no difference between a Hungarian vizsla to a Russian vizsla. They will all interact in the way that the owner trains them to act.

By training, I do not mean that the owners train them to be quiet all the time. I mean that based on the interactions between owner and dog, each will begin to grasp a better understanding of each other the longer they are together. Thusly, they will act accordingly towards each other, based on their previous experiences.

Vizsla Rescue Dogs can Benefit Your Life Greatly

Owning man's best friend is often the most innocent and cute thing to do in your life. With this ownership however, you will have a lot of responsibility and have to devote lots of love and care for your dog. They tend to be exactly like children in that they get distracted easily and are all over the place when you least want them to be.

If you train your vizsla, the you can see how this dog grows and learns. Better yet, if you are training Vizsla rescue dogs, you will be able to help save people if the situation called for it.

Taking Care of Vizsla Dogs

Taking care of Vizslas is not very difficult. As long as there plenty of space for that dog, to run around and many friends to play with, he will do just fine. Vizsla dogs are extremely loyal creatures and if you do not like a pet that will follow you everywhere you go, then a Vizsla is probably not very well suited for you.

This dog will follow you from room to room of your house and will not let down unless he or she is certain that you are safe in the house by yourself. If you feel like you need your own space sometimes, then you should probably find a dog that is very lazy and just likes to eat and poop.

Find the Right Vizsla Puppies to Cure Your Loneliness

If you know anything about dogs, then you know that having a Vizsla takes a lot of work. If you raise it right, you will have a very trusty companion for a good period of time. On top of that, if you love your vizsla, it will definitely show in the behavior of your dog.

It all starts with the right Vizsla puppies. Without a good manageable puppy, you will have a hard time raising him. If you are very skilled, then you should be less worried, but you do have to worry about the vigorous exercising schedule that Vizslas need to maintain.

Read Up About Books on Vizslas

Want to read up on Vizsla dogs?
